Showing Dogs Professionally since 2007

I have been training and showing dogs off and on since 1992. I started assisting my parents in 1993 with their beagles. My first beagle with my name on it finished in 1996. After college I stopped showing but was still involved with dogs by providing private dog training lessons. I have assisted in whelping litters and raising puppies over the years.

 

In 2006 I purchased my first Weimaraner. I got back into showing dogs and my male Weimaraner, Cody, became a champion at only 15 months of age. Cody was campaigned to be in the Top 20 at the age of 2 and 6 and won Select Dog and Best Veteran at Eukanuba in 2015 and Best Veteran in 2014 as well.  He won the Pittsburg Weimaraner Specialty in New Castle on his 7th Birthday out of the veterans class and is the reason I do this professionally. Cody allowed my to follow my heart, he is missed every day.

 

I assisted a professional handler for multiple years. This was a great opportunity to be able to show a variety of breeds and learn about the care and well-being of the dogs while traveling on the road.

 

Since 2006 I have gone on to campaign a variety of top ranked dogs while winning multiple groups along the way.

 

I have taught handling classes for both a private training school and for the Lackawanna Kennel Club.

 

For the Mountain Laurel Cluster I am the Asst. Cluster Chair, Chair of the Judges Selection & Assignment Committee and 2nd Vice President.  For the Lackawanna Kennel Club I am Show Chairman and 2nd Vice President.  I am a member of these national breed clubs: Weimaraner Club of America and German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America.  I have previously belonged to the following clubs: Bronx Kennel Club & Brookhaven Kennel Club,

In 2014 I submitted my Junior Showmanship Judges application and am an approved Junions Judge and currently  accepting  assignments.

 

I love a challenge and look forward to showing many more dogs to their full potential in the years to come. I enjoy showing all breeds of dogs and can adapt quickly to any dog and breed.  I breed Weimaraners.  I show a lot of sporting and hound but have extensive experience in all groups.  Get in touch with me today and let your dog's potential shine!
